Where Do I Begin?

Choose your own travels through Mernac!  There are FIVE main types of stories housed within Mernac and several methods to browse through them all.  Legends are the CHAPTERS (or short-stories) of the never-ending sagas, but before you delve into the card catalog, you may want to learn more about the “lay of the land” by reading the descriptive shorts housed in our Places catalog.  All of the “Legends” of Mernac, are told from the perspective of a character created by a Mernacian scribe, therefore, you may like to learn about the “backgrounds” of Mernacian characters by browsing our Characters catalog.  Perhaps you would like to know the history of various magical vessels, weapons, flora or fauna, or spells?  You will find a growing inventory of descriptive works indexing various Items mentioned throughout Mernac sagas.  Bet you’d like to know more about the 20 different Races of Mernac, the Gods, the different guilds, factions, religions, classes, and socio-political background of Mernac.  You should definitely browse our catalog of Lore doctrines.  You may be curious to learn more about how this site was created and other Non-Fiction information related to Mernac.  These are all housed in our library aptly named, The Dragon.  Here you will find various scrolls of press releases, announcements, how-to, and so forth.

Now that you understand the TYPES of stories within Mernac, what is the best route to take to explore the land?  Well there are many avenues available and we invite you to try them all and let us know your favorite! 

If you’d like to first read some of the supporting stories for the Legends, you can always browse the Menu at the top of every page and go straight to the specific library of your choice.  Look for Characters, Places, Lore, Items, and of course Legends at the top of each page you travel.  You will find each library is further broken down by categories to aid in navigating your travels.  You will also find these Libraries listed in a box titled, “Table of Contents” on the left side of every page.

Ready to find the perfect saga now and get started surfing the chapters of an exciting never-ending tale?  Our Scribes maintain an index of their on-going sagas in The Dragon, called “Sagas and Books”.  Here you will find a listing of each Saga, including the Scribe who writes that saga, a description of the saga, how many times it’s been viewed and/or rated, and so forth.  By clicking on the title or “Read more” you will be brought to another page that carefully indexes each “chapter” within the story, including supporting stories on the backgrounds of all the involved Characters.  This also includes a brief synopsis of each chapter provided here.  If you’d like to begin at the beginning of the Saga, simply click the Title of the first chapter.  You will immediately be brought to the scroll containing that chapter.
